Intensive Outpatient Program
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at URCC offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to empower emerging clinicians with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and essential skills. Our training incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as specialized interventions such as relapse prevention, safety planning, anger management, self-care, and goal-setting strategies. This equips clinicians to address a wide spectrum of mental health needs effectively.
The program’s treatment focus encompasses critical mental health issues, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. This comprehensive training prepares clinicians to offer culturally responsive and trauma-informed care for BIPOC and marginalized communities who often face unique and complex challenges.
In collaboration with our community partners, URCC’s IOP enhances clinical training by providing essential wraparound services to clients. These include family support, medication management, and resources for employment and educational advancement. This holistic approach ensures that both clinicians and their clients have access to a broad spectrum of support, facilitating sustainable healing and growth.
Through these combined efforts, the Intensive Outpatient Program is committed to creating a diverse and well-equipped mental health workforce dedicated to fostering resilience, cultural understanding, and meaningful support for communities in need.
